BOSTON – It’s a bit of a stretch, thinking presidential candidate and New York businessman Donald Trump would help his competitor, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. But with comedian Jimmy Fallon’s help, that’s what happened Thursday night on NBC’s “Tonight Show.”
Dressed as Trump, Fallon “prepares” Cruz to go on the “Tonight Show” stage via a quick phone conversation, imagining what questions the comedian will ask him, like this quick exchange:
FALLON: Ok, here’s another question Jimmy might ask: what is your stance on immigration?
CRUZ: Well, Donald, first of all, we need to put an end to President Obama’s amnesty.
FALLON: Wall.
CRUZ: And I believe we need to secure the border once and for all.
