You may have missed this one last weekend due to the barrage of news on Hurricane Irma.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was apparently so confident that she would defeat Republican Donald Trump that she bought the home next door to her and her husband’s multi-million-dollar estate in Chappaqua, New York.

The telling tidbit was unearthed during Clinton’s interview on CBS Sunday Morning with anchor Jane Pauley.

“The Clintons had acquired the house next door, to accommodate White House staff and security during a second Clinton Administration,” Pauley narrated in her report. “At a dining room table in that house, she wrote about ‘What Happened’.”

“I couldn’t get the job done, and I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life,” Clinton wrote in her memoir, which was released to much media fanfare on Tuesday.

Clinton later described Trump’s inauguration speech as a “cry from the white nationalists’ gut.”

A September 2016 New York Post report covered the $1.16 million transaction for the ranch-style home at 33 Olde House Lane, located adjacent to the Clinton manse. Sources at that time told the newspaper that the second home was intended to serve as a weekend retreat for daughter Chelsea Clinton.

“Clinton was so sure she would be the one giving that inaugural speech,” Pauley narrated at one point during the report.

Pauley was later filmed walking alongside Clinton in yard behind the three-bedroom home.

“You specifically bought this house for a reason,” Pauley said to the former first lady.

“I did,” Clinton responded. “I know a lot about what it takes to move a president, and I thought I was going to win.”

“Doesn’t it kind of haunt you?” Pauley asked.

“No, I’m very happy we did it,” Clinton answered.
