State Senate To Investigate Sexual Assault Allegations Against Civil-Law Husband of Senate President

BOSTON — Disturbing allegations of sexual assault against the civil-law husband of Senate President Stanley Rosenberg roiled Beacon Hill on Thursday, challenging Rosenberg's capacity to lead the chamber as Governor Charlie Baker and others called for a full investigation into the "distressing" claims made by four men.

A Roman Catholic priest who was assigned to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis in Missouri sued for defamation after he was accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl and a young boy. In a settlement, Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests issued an apology to the priest and to another falsely accused priest who has since died.
