Dog Pardon Pursued By Maine Governor

The principle of executive clemency is broad, says Main Governor Paul LePage, and he aims to defend it. Earlier this year he issued a pardon for a husky sentenced to death by a judge for attacking two smaller dogs in less than a year, but some state officials have said he doesn’t have the power to do that.
