Massachusetts State Police Offer No Answer On Whether Employee Charged With Theft Followed Rules

April 19, 2018

The director of the Massachusetts State Police’s payroll put in for fraudulent reimbursements totaling more than $23,000 between July 23, 2016 and October 2017, prosecutors said.

Denise Ezekiel, of Holbrook, is charged with larceny over $250.

Governor Charlie Baker called the prosecution “good news” during a press conference Wednesday evening, according to MassLive.com.

“This is good news, folks. When the leadership of the State Police is cleaning up its own house and doing the investigation that develops a baseline for criminal investigation, that’s a good thing, not a bad thing,” Baker said, according to MassLive.com.
