The Time Barbara Bush Brought A Little Bit of Boston To Moscow

April 18, 2018

When she was first lady Barbara Bush once brought replicas of the duckling statues during a Cold War visit to Moscow.

The famous statues on Boston Public Garden commemorate a famous children’s book, Robert McCluskey’s Make Way for Ducklings, published in 1941.

Barbara Bush died Tuesday. She was 92.
