Vermont Newspaper Fires Editor for Opposing ‘Third Gender’ Pronouns

Denis Finley was fired as editor of The Burlington Free Press for tweets that “failed to adhere to the company’s code of conduct and ethics policy,” according to a story in the newspaper. The story doesn’t mention any particular tweets, but the one that’s getting the most attention responds to a tweet that called a bill that in the Vermont legislature that would add a “third gender” pronoun to Vermont driver’s licenses “awesome”:
