Common Core Robs Kids of Creativity, Professor Says

March 20, 2018

Common Core is crushing creativity by teaching students to regurgitate words and phrases in English language arts rather than restate ideas in their own voice or come up with new ideas, argues Fordham University political science professor Nicholas Tampio in a new video.

He calls Common Core “anti-democratic pedagogy.”

Tampio is the author of a newly published book called Common Core:  National Education Standards and the Threat To Democracy.
