U.S. Customs Whacks Returning American Over Contraband … Apple

April 22, 2018

A Colorado woman given an apple by a Delta Airlines flight attendant during a flight from Paris on Wednesday thought she’d wait until the second leg of the trip to Denver before she ate it.

But she never got the chance.

During a random search of her baggage a Customs agent found the apple in a sealed wrapper. He issued her a citation for $500. He also revoked her global entry status, which allows expedited clearance for international travelers, according to The Washington Post.
