Cupp says evangelicals were tired of being bullied by former President Barack Obama and secular leftists in the mainstream media, and saw in Donald Trump someone willing to punch the bully on their behalf. His record so far — a conservative justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, and delivering on his pro-life rhetoric — doesn’t hurt, either.
