Free Wedding Dresses For Heroes – Share And Inspire Others

It’s amazing how much GOOD there is in the world.

Over the past few months, we’ve had countless people reach out to us to tell us about all of the ways they are helping veterans and first responders.

It seems that despite all of the attacks on police … the disrespecting of veterans … the silent majority of people are coming out of the shadows to do the right thing and help others.

Enter:  the bridal giveaway.

Victoria Kuhns contacted me telling me she had come into more than 400 brand-new bridal and bridesmaid dresses … and wanted to do something good with them.

So she’s throwing an event to find them a good home.

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a huge giveaway at Merlot on the Water in Broad Brook, Connecticut.

It’s $40 to attend – and every penny will be donated to the East Windsor Police Union.

Here’s what Victoria had to say about why she’s doing it:

Optimism – op·ti·mism – noun

  1.  hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.

In today’s world, doubt, sadness and uncertainty are more commonly the mantra of society.

We doubt the motives of our peers.

We’re saddened by the way we, as a society, treat each other.

Most of all, we are uncertain of the future.

We could be none of those things.

I am positive that if we start to support each other, regardless of our past, present beliefs and differences, we can build a future much brighter than the place we are now.

A few months back, an opportunity presented itself to turn a negative into something positive. It’s been a work in progress and in the last few months there’s one segment of our society that has been in the hot seat and never faltered to show up, give everything they’ve got and expect nothing in return.

That’s America’s first responders.

While we can never show enough appreciation for dredging through high waters or running full speed through gunfire in order to save a stranger, any little of appreciation my family and I can show, we will do.

Here’s the opportunity:  we want to give away wedding dresses to our Military, Police, First Responders, and Spouses-to-be. We’ve got an abundance of bridal gowns and a surplus of elegant looks. They’re all new and they’re yours if your find the dress of your dreams. If not, we’ll still send you home with a pretty dress to wear on your next date night.

Merlot on the Water will be hosting the event.

Snapshots Unlimited is going to take some pictures.

After Hours DJ is going to play some tunes.

So while you might not get to spend the day with your honey, you get to spend it with a pretty great crew.

We’ll help you find a dress and we’ll toast some champagne when you say yes.

We’ve got all types of styles, sizes range from 2-24 with the majority being in the 8-16 range.
