Google Just Fired the WRONG Guy

In case you missed it … Google fired one of its engineers –- guy named James Damore –- because he made the mistake of sharing his opinion.

He dropped a 10-page document last week, sharing his thoughts about Google’s efforts to hire more women. He suggested biology plays more of a role in the shortage of women in leadership roles in technology than sexism. He also talked about Google shunning conservative thought.

Google, of course, decided to shut down his conservative thoughts, effectively proving his point.

He has since filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board.

But he’s a white dude, so my guess is that they’ll tell him to take a hike.

I’ve literally received dozens of emails and messages asking me for my thoughts on the topic as an unabashedly conservative CEO.

So allow me to weigh in.

  • Any business can –- and should –- be able to fire anyone for any reason.
  • Google just lifted its skirt and showed us what’s underneath. It made it obvious that it really does NOT want people who don’t tote the company line to work there. Conservatives … adios.

There have been countless allegations that Google stacks the deck against conservatives –- including in elections. Of course proving it would be incredibly difficult, because –- well –- it’s Google.

But I’m pretty sure the search engine giant made its point loud and clear. Liberals believe in freedom of speech … as long as they agree with it. If they don’t? They’ll do everything in their power to shut it down.

Google had every right to fire him. But he has every right to make sure everyone knows the bias of his former employer.

But good luck reading tons about it on Google.
