‘The more you connect, the less you connect’

“Everyone’s so interior now, they’re not really
looking around them. They’re on their phones.”
— Kim Gordon

This year has been a productive one for many advertising agencies. There were a lot of powerful and beautiful campaigns that got attention.

I think it’s very important to mention one of them today, because it’s the holiday season and many of us will be spending time with our families.

Ogilvy & Mather China created a series of ads for the Shenyang Center for Psychological Research, illustrating how smartphones can affect family relationships.

The “Phone Wall” campaign is intended to remind people to spend more “real” time with families and friends. We all can get rid of this wall if we just rethink our everyday life.

“The more you connect, the less you connect” is the caption at the bottom of the images.
