President Barack Obama will be Boston-bound this Labor Day, where he will participate in the 2015 Greater Boston Labor Council Labor Day Breakfast at Boston Park Plaza Hotel, according to Boston.com.
The breakfast is scheduled for 9 a.m.
“We are honored that the President will be joining us to celebrate a labor movement that is needed now more than ever,” Rich Rogers, executive secretary-treasurer of the council, said in a statement. “Workers have achieved several major victories to advance fairness and dignity in Massachusetts this year – victories such as earned sick time, an increased minimum wage, a domestic workers’ bill of rights, and other accomplishments that are inspiring workers across the nation.”
It’s a quick return to the Bay State for Obama, who took his annual vacation to Martha’s Vineyard this past month.
