US Navy sailor’s ‘apology’ reboadcast by Iran state TV

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — After an international crisis appeared to have been defused, Iranian state TV rebroadcast a video clip of a captive U.S. sailor apologizing for an intrusion into the Persian Gulf nation's territorial waters.

In the footage, filmed before the man and 9 other sailors were released on Wednesday, the American serviceman says: "It was a mistake. That was our fault and we apologize for our mistake."

STATE HOUSE — Buoyed by recent wins at the ballot box and confidence that voters will approve yet another major law in November, marijuana activists on Wednesday told lawmakers that their opportunity to craft legislation to legalize marijuana on their own terms is now.

"The issue facing lawmakers today is not whether marijuana should be legalized, the issue before lawmakers today is how marijuana should be legalized," said Dick Evans, chairman of the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol.
