Pro-Transgenderism Protesters Demonstrate Outside Massachusetts Family Institute Dinner

Several dozen protesters demonstrated outside the Massachusetts Family Institute’s annual fund-raising dinner Friday night, briefly blocking access to the Newton Marriott hotel in Auburndale.

Protesters chanted “Hey-hey, ho-ho, transphobia has got-ta go” and “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re fabulous, don’t f—- with us.”

Inside the hotel, about 500 people gathered for the event.

The Massachusetts Family Institute is a conservative organization that opposes a bill currently before the state legislature that would require all public school districts that teach sex education to include what supporters call “comprehensive sex education,” including same-sex sex acts.

Sex education curriculums approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education call for teaching about non-reproductive sex acts and gender identity to elementary school students, as New Boston Post has reported.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stopped by the dinner at about 7:30 p.m., making a brief appearance.

DeSantis’s appearance was not publicly known before the event. He said the Massachusetts Family Institute dinner drew more protesters than he usually does.

”I’m jealous,” DeSantis said, to laughter.

A video of the protesters is posted below.
