President Joe Biden has announced restrictions at the country's southern border designed to limit the number of migrants pouring over it and address a political vulnerability as he looks ahead to forthcoming debates with former President Donald Trump.
Starting Wednesday, June 5 migrants who cross into the United States from Mexico can't get asylum unless they do so at a port of entry, according to an executive action announced Tuesday.
A school board member in northern Maine has resigned because of what she considers the local public school system's immorality.
"In my opinion, the system has turned away from God and traditional values in ways that will negatively affect our youth in years to come. I will pray for positive change," wrote Michelle Henderson, a member of the board of Regional School Unit 29, in a resignation letter, according to The Bangor Daily News.
