Bernie Sanders Says Two Senate Democrats Are Sabotaging Joe Biden

May 26, 2022

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) thinks a pair of Democrats have undercut President Joe Biden’s agenda.

Sanders blames U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) and U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-Arizona), who oppose the president’s Build Back Better Plan, for hurting the administration’s chances of getting things done.

“It should not be a head-scratcher. You’ve got two members of the Senate, Sen. Manchin and Sen. Sinema, who have sabotaged what the president has been fighting for,” Sanders told Politico.

“You’ve got 48 members of the Senate who wanted to go forward with an agenda that helped working families, that was prepared to take on the wealthy and the powerful,” Sanders said. “You got a president who wanted to do that.”
