Bertucci’s Closes Six Restaurants in Massachusetts, Declares Bankruptcy

The Italian chain known for brick-oven pizzas filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to provide protection from creditors after closing 15 restaurants, including six in Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts locations closing are in Randolph, Wayland, Taunton, Amherst, Longmeadow, and West Springfield.
The company still has 59 restaurants from New Hampshire to Virginia, though Massachusetts has the largest share, according to Boston Business Journal.
Bertucci’s, founded in Somerville in 1981, is headquartered in Northborough, Massachusetts.
