Black Cop Demoted in Phony-Racist Letter Probe Sues City

A black police lieutenant in Bridgeport, Connecticut who was demoted to  sergeant in connection with a fake-racist letter another Bridgeport cop wrote on department stationery is suing the city. The letter writer claimed the former lieutenant ordered him to write the letter; the police chief says there's no credible evidence thats true, but that the former lieutenant violated department rules in the way the letter was reported to authorities.
