Boston Bruins End Year Without Home Regulation Loss and Without Consecutive Losses

December 31, 2022

The Boston Bruins concluded the 2022 portion of the 2022-2023 National Hockey League season today. The Bruins lost 4-3 at home in overtime to the Buffalo Sabers on Saturday, December 31.

Even so, their success between the start of the season in October and now is almost unparalleled.

The Bruins are 28-4-4 and in first place in the NHL in points. The Bruins are second in goals and assists and have not lost a game at home in regulation. Neither have they lost consecutive games. To start the season the Bruins started 14-0-0 at home — the NHL record for games won at home to start a season.

The Bruins are the current favorite to win the Stanley Cup.
