It would now be a huge upset if the Boston Celtics didn’t win the National Basketball Association Finals.
The Celtics entered their series against the Dallas Mavericks as a -230 betting odds favorite, according to many sportsbooks. That means one would have to bet $230 to win $100 on the Celtics winning the championship.
However, the odds have only gotten more extreme for the Celtics.
Up 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, the Celtics are now -800 favorites, according to DraftKings. That means to make $100 on the Celtics winning the championship, one must bet $800.
If the Celtics win the championship, it would be their first since the 2007-2008 season.
