Boston Globe Rejects Anti-Impeachment Ad From Pro-Trump Group

December 16, 2019

The Boston Globe rejected an anti-impeachment ad from a group that supports President Donald Trump, according to the group.

The pro-Trump, organization, America First Policies, is buying ads in newspapers that cover districts represented by Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives that were carried by Trump in 2016.

One of those is New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, represented by Chris Pappas, a Democrat first elected in 2018.

The ad features a Christmas sweater with text that criticizes Pappas for “siding with the liberal mob.”

Trump is expected to be impeached by the Democratic majority in the U.S. House on Wednesday, December 18. The Boston Globe has expressed support for impeaching Trump in an unsigned editorial.

A spokesman for the group told Fox News that The Boston Globe is the only one of more than two dozen newspapers approached that has rejected the ad.
