Boston Police Commissioner William Gross Will Likely Run For Mayor

Will the Boston Police Commissioner jump into the mayoral race with Marty Walsh poised to take over as president-elect Joe Biden’s Secretary of Labor?

That’s a highly likely possibility. William Gross may have a decision at some point this week, according to Boston.com.

“A source very close to Willie Gross reached out to me last night and told me that he is 90 percent of the way there, just checking off with a couple of family members to make sure that everybody is on board,” WBZ’s NightSide host Dan Rea reportedly said on Sunday, January 10.

So far, a pair of Boston city councilors have announced they will run for the position: Michelle Wu and Andrea Campbell.
