Brockton Burglar Wanted Cash, Settled for Weed

A burglar who broke into a Brockton’s man’s apartment seeking cash settled for a half-ounce of marijuana instead, police said.

The 46-year-old victim walked into his apartment downtown about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 31 to find a stranger inside who showed him a gun and demanded cash, according to the Brockton Enterprise.

The victim had a half-ounce of marijuana in a safe — under the legal limit in Massachusetts for personal use. The robber took the marijuana and fled, according to the Brockton Enterprise.
