Brown To Hold Two Graduation Ceremonies Next Spring

Brown University now plans to hold two graduation ceremonies in May 2021 — one for this school year’s graduates, and for next year’s.

The Class of 2020 will also be offered a virtual graduation online on Sunday, May 24, according to the The Providence Journal.

Brown officials are planning to reopen the university’s campus this fall in some way, but they’re not yet sure how, according to The Providence Journal.

Like other schools, Brown’s campus has been closed since mid-March when the coronavirus emergency began.

Brown officials initially planned to delay the Class of 2020 graduation to October 2020, but with widespread uncertainty about fall activities because of the virus, they are pushing back commencement a whole year.
