Caroline Kennedy Puts Jackie’s Vineyard Estate on Market for $65 Million

June 28, 2019

Caroline Kennedy has put her late mother’s former estate on Martha’s Vineyard on the market for $65 million.

The 340-acre estate is on the Atlantic Ocean side of the island, in the town of Aquinnah (formerly known as Gay Head).

The five-bedroom main house, cedar-shingled Cape Cod-style, covers 6,456 square feet. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and the house also has two half-bathrooms.

A two-story guesthouse has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The property includes two garages, a three-bedroom caretaker’s house, a boat house, a storage building with climate control, a hunting cabin, a pool, and a tennis court.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994) bought the property, which consisted of the land and only the present hunting cabin, with money she got after her second husband, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, died in 1975. The main house was built in 1980.

Her first husband was President John Kennedy (1917-1963).

The property is listed by Christie’s International Real Estate.
