Charlie Baker Says He Won’t Vote For Trump

Whom will Massachusetts’s Republican governor Charlie Baker support in the 2020 presidential general election?

That’s unclear, but it’s clear there is at least one candidate he won’t vote for:  his party’s nominee. Baker told reporters on Wednesday, October 14 that he had not decided who he would be voting for in the 2020 election, and his communication director Lizzy Guyton later clarified that Trump wasn’t a possibility.

“The governor cannot support Donald Trump for president and is focused on seeing Massachusetts through the pandemic,” Guyton said, according to The Hill. “He’ll leave the election analysis to the pundits.”

Baker didn’t support Trump in the 2016 presidential election, either.
