Chris Sununu Says He Doesn’t Think Donald Trump Will Be GOP’s 2024 Presidential Nominee

March 6, 2023

Will former President Donald Trump earn the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nominee?

While Trump still has plenty of support from Republican voters, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says he does not think Trump will be the party’s nominee this time.

Sununu, who is considering his own bid for the Oval Office, doesn’t think Trump will have enough support to earn the nomination.

“There’s very few people that are on the fence, whether they’re with him or not with him or whatever it might be. So, I think he just has his lane and then there’s everyone else, which is I think a vast majority of the party that’s looking for an alternative,” Sununu told NBC’s Meet The Press.

“Thank you for your service. We’re moving on. I just don’t believe the Republican Party is gonna say that the best leadership for America tomorrow is yesterday’s leadership,” he added.
