Chris Sununu Says He’d Be An Electable Presidential Candidate

May 10, 2023

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says he may run for president in the 2024 Republican primary.

If he does, what is his pitch to voters?

And why should they support him over, say, former President Donald Trump?

Sununu says he would have electability on his side.

“If you vote for somebody, it has to be that they can win, and get something done,” Sununu said, according to Dartmouth News.

“That’s it. As a Republican — I’ll speak to the Republicans — you should vote for the most conservative candidate who aligns with our ideals, and can win in November,” Sununu said, emphasizing the last three words.

Sununu is expected to announce whether or not he will run for president this summer.
