Connecticut To Lift Nearly All Coronavirus Restrictions By May 19

April 20, 2021

Coronavirus restrictions on business? All or almost all will be gone in Connecticut in less than one month.

The state’s Democratic governor, Ned Lamont, announced on Monday, April 19 that outdoor restrictions will be gone on Saturday, May 1 and indoors, they will no longer be in effect as of Monday, May 19.

“At this point, I think I’m going to pass that judgement over to the [businesses] because they know how to do it safely,” Lamont said, according to New England Cable News.

The one restriction that may remain in place, however, is indoor masking. However, as New England Cable News points out, it is not yet clear if this will be a state recommendation or requirement just yet.
