Family of 105-Year-Old Holds Birthday Gathering Outside Nursing Home Window

About 20 family members showed up with signs and balloons outside a nursing home in Dalton, Massachusetts to celebrate the birthday of Lily Watkins this weekend as she turned 105.

Visitors aren't allowed inside the building because of the coronavirus emergency, so the family members gathered outside the nursing home's metal gate, while Watkins stayed on the other side, according to the Berkshire Eagle.

Boston Issues 9 p.m. Curfew ‘Advisory’

The city of Boston's Public Health Commission has issued what it calls an "advisory" that residents stay in their homes between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and refrain from physical activity outside.

The advisory comes with no penalty for violating it, but an implied escalating mechanism.
