Fidelity CEO Is The Richest Massachusetts Resident

October 8, 2021

Out of anyone who lives in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, who has the most money?

The answer:  Abigail Johnson. She is the president and chief executive officer of Fidelity Investments. Her net worth is $25.2 billion, as Forbes (via WHDH) reported this week. That makes her the 27th wealthiest person in the United States of America.

The second richest person in Massachusetts was also a Fidelity affiliate. Johnson’s father, Edward Johnson III, came in second among Massachusetts residents on the list. He is worth $11.5 billion; he runs Fidelity Investments with his daughter. That makes him the 60th richest person in the United States.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft ($8.3 billion) was third among Bay Staters and 102nd overall.
