Georgia U.S. Senate Candidate Glad To Have Bernie Sanders’s Support

In Georgia, one Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate has no problem taking support from a democratic socialist from New England.

Jon Ossoff, who is gearing up for a runoff election in early January, said he gladly embraces Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) supporting him in his race against U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-Georgia).

“I welcome his support,” Ossoff said of Sanders, according to the Atlanta Constitution-Journal. “His advocacy for ensuring that healthcare is a human right in this country, for putting the interests of working families over corporate interests is welcome, is necessary, is appreciated. And so is his support.”
