May 2, 2020

Golf courses in New Hampshire are now scheduled to reopen on Monday, May 11, but only for New Hampshire residents, according to an order from the governor announced Friday, May 1.

Campgrounds will remain open, but under Governor Chris Sununu’s order they will immediately have to turn away out-of-state residents. Campgrounds previously were allowed to serve out-of-state residents, according to The Union Leader.

State beaches along New Hampshire’s 15-mile Atlantic Ocean coast will remain closed, but beaches in inland state parks will be open, with social distancing rules in effect to try to prevent the spread of coronavirus, according to The Union Leader.

The governor is offering “flex openings” for retailers, hair stylists, and drive-in movie theaters, while extending many restrictions to May 31, according to The Union Leader.

The trend of coronavirus cases in New Hampshire is downward, Sununu said Friday, May 1.
