GOP Candidate for State Auditor Scores Apparent Endorsement From Tom Brady

Republican candidate for state auditor Helen Brady has a photo of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady holding one of her bumper stickers while standing next to her.

Helen Brady is the Republican nominee against Democratic incumbent Suzanne Bump.

She is not related to the football player, but she is connected to him through Best Buddies, a charity that Tom Brady founded.

Helen Brady is business manager of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She lives in Concord.

If elected, she pledges to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in state government, citing examples such as the University of Massachusetts at Boston, mental health services providers, the state Department of Children and Families, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, according to Lowell Sun columnist Peter Lucas.
