Jewish Gravestones Defaced in Fall River; Local Synagogue Official Suspects Trump

Police don’t know who scrawled anti-Semitic graffiti on dozens of gravestones in a Jewish cemetery in Fall River, but the president of a local synagogue sees a link to President Donald Trump.

“We’ve become a nation that, instead of leading the world, we’re starting to fall apart. This nation has become so divided, and we have one person to thank for it,” said Jeffrey Weissman, president of Congregation Adas Israel, according to the Fall River Herald News.

The defacements, which included the words “Hitler was right,” “Expel the Jew,” and “Oy vey! This is MAGA country” in magic marker, were discovered Sunday, March 17.

Police are checking surveillance cameras in the area to try to identify a suspect.
