John Kasich To Give Harvard Kennedy School Commencement Address

The Ohio governor, who ran in the Republican primary for president in 2016, is reported to have interest in challenging President Donald Trump in 2020.

But it’s his commitment to public service that drew Kennedy School officials to invite him to the May 23 graduation, Dean Douglas W. Elmendorf told The Harvard Crimson, while noting Ohio’s economic growth during Kasich time as governor:   “We look for people who have made important contributions to public policy and who can convey to our graduating students and their parents and family members a vision of what people going into public service can do in the world,” the dean said.
