Maine Governor To Teen Net Neutrality Critic: ‘Pick Up A Book and Read!’

Maine Governor Paul LePage, a Republican, sent back a handwritten note to a 16-year-old girl who wrote to him expressing opposition to the Federal Communications Commission’s recent decision to lift so-called “net neutrality” rules enacted during the Obama Administration that were designed to ensure that all Internet information was treated the same. Supporters of net neutrality rules worry that without them big corporations will shaft some types of communication over others, but critics of the rules say they posed an unwise regulatory burden.
