Massachusetts Family Institute Postpones Annual Lobby Day Because of Coronavirus

March 12, 2020

The Massachusetts Family Institute has postponed its annual Lobby Day on Beacon Hill scheduled for next week because so many state legislators have stopped meeting with constituents, citing the coronavirus.

Lobby Day had been scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. Opposing the proposed ROE Act Bill, which would expand abortion and — opponents say — legalize infanticide was high on the agenda.

“We made this difficult decision because, in addition to any potential health risks, we want to be good stewards of your time,” said Michael King, director of community alliances for the Massachusetts Family Institute, in a written statement on Thursday, March 12.

The Massachusetts Family Institute is planning to reschedule the event later in the spring.

An online  live-streaming event is in the works for the same day and time as Lobby Day would have taken place — 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18.
