Maura Healey Says She Wants More Gun Control In Massachusetts

What should we expect from Governor Maura Healey in Massachusetts?

Healey wants to see more gun control laws enacted, she recently said.

“We have some of the strongest gun laws in place, and we’re safer as a result of that, but it’s not enough,” Healey said during a recent interview on Java with Jimmy. “I just think at the heart of so much of this, Jimmy, is a failure to address some of the root causes of violence.”

Healey did not get into specifics about what types of gun control measures she would like to see the state take.

The interview took place Thursday, January 12, a week after Healey took office as governor.
