Mike Pence Coming To Nantucket

Vice President Mike Pence plans to go to Nantucket this coming weekend for a fund raiser to help President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.

The $25,000-a-head event Saturday, July 25 is expected to draw about 30 people and raise about $1 million, a Republican National Committee official told The Cape Cod Times.

Nantucket, about 28 miles south of Cape Cod, is a famous summertime destination for rich people. The median home value was $1.9 million as of October 31, 2019, according to Fisher Real Estate, of Nantucket.

Among year-round residents, Hillary Clinton is 2016 won Nantucket (which is an island, a town, and a county) 63 to 29 percent over Donald Trump. The margin was 4,146 votes to 1,892.
