Mitt Romney Calls Joe Biden ‘A Geniunely Good Man’

July 5, 2022

Do you like  Joe Biden?

On a personal level, U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) does; he likes Biden better than he likes former president Donald Trump.

“Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust,” Romney wrote in The Atlantic this week. “A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable.”

Romney served as governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007. He unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008 and 2012, earning his party’s nomination in the latter election.

Romney’s time in the U.S. Senate has not overlapped with Biden’s, who resigned from the Senate in January 2009 shortly before becoming vice president of the United States, after 36 years in the Senate.

Romney says he hasn’t decided if he’ll seek re-election to the Senate in 2024.
