Mount Washington Posts Second-Earliest Below-Zero-High Day
November 15, 2018
Mount Washington, the tallest mountain in New England and known for extreme weather, never got higher than -4 degrees Fahrenheit on Wednesday, November 14.
It’s the second earliest sub-zero day in the mountain’s history since 1948, according to the National Weather Service.
It was a cold day on top of New England's largest mountain. It didn't even get above zero! That's the second earliest date that Mount Washington had a high temperature of zero or colder since 1948. #nhwx pic.twitter.com/nJMHwnRQeu
