New Pot Shop in Salem Opening Saturday Will Be Appointment-Only

When the third legal recreational marijuana store in Massachusetts opens in Salem on the morning of Saturday, it will turn away anyone who doesn’t already have an appointment.

Alternative Therapies Group Inc. is starting out as appointment-only in an effort to try to avoid the nightmare traffic that accompanied the opening of the first two recreational marijuana shops, in Leicester and Northampton, on November 20.

Appointments for Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16 are already booked, according to WCVB-TV Channel 5.
