Nine-Month Old Twins Abandoned Near Railroad Tracks

Railroad workers found twin baby boys about nine months old near railroad tracks in Worcester around midnight last night.

The babies, who were unharmed, have been identified and placed into the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Families and Children, according to police.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, according to a written statement.

Worcester police are investigating how the babies ended up near the railroad tracks near Kansas Street in Worcester, and are seeking information about the incident.
