Outdoor Nursing Home Visits Allowed In Massachusetts

June 4, 2020

Outdoor visits to nursing homes in Massachusetts are occurring once again, as CBS Boston reports.

Residents can have up to two visitors at a time, provided that they make an appointment two hours ahead of time, wear masks, and are at least six feet apart. Wednesday, June 3 was the first day the state allowed it.

Since mid-March, visits were not allowed. Instead, all communication had to take place by telephone or computer.

It’s unclear when nursing homes will be allowed to have indoor visitors.
