Pickup Truck Hits 17th Century House That Served As Beverly’s First School
The driver of a pickup truck who lost consciousness inadvertently drove into a 17th century home in Beverly that served as the city's first schoolhouse, according to the Salem News.
The yellow house at 50 Essex Street was built around 1672. It served as a church and later, in 1716, because Beverly's school, according to the Salem News.
