Springfield To Sue Drug Companies Over Opioid Crisis

City officials in Springfield cite what they call the “crippling” costs of dealing with opioid addicts. They blame the drug companies that made and pushed the pills; the law firm is taking the case on a 22.5 percent contingency, meaning the firm won’t get paid unless the city wins a judgement or settlement.
