Suffolk Construction CEO John Fish Goes All-In For National Democrats

John Fish, chief executive officer of Suffolk Construction, a major builder in Boston, donated $500,000 to a political action committee trying to help the Democrats win a majority of the U.S. Senate in the November 2018 election.

It appears to be the single biggest political donation Fish has ever made, according to the Boston Business Journal.

Fish is a major player in the Boston development and political scene. He served as chairman of the effort to bring the 2024 Summer Olympics to Boston, which was eventually abandoned.

Fish tilts Democratic. He helped raise money for President Barack Obama’s re-election run in 2012. But his company also gave a smaller amount of money that year to a political action committee backing Obama’s challenger, Mitt Romney, according to the Los Angeles Times
